Economic and Social Council & Regional Bodies
The Economic and Social Council at HMUN 2011 includes the medium-sized commissions and programmes of the UN, which tackle issues of development, human rights, culture, economics, and trade. The Regional Bodies include both UN and non-UN committees that are made up of countries from specific regions, and discuss topics more specifically pertinent to those regions.
At HMUN 2011, the committees of the Economic and Social Council and Regional Bodies will be:
United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC)
United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP)
123rd International Olympic Committee Session (IOC)
