Why did you choose these topics? Both of these subjects remain extremely relevant in today’s world. The challenge posed by the role of the drug trade in financing terrorism can initially seem overwhelming. This issue is rooted in deep webs of illicit activities and malicious acts of violence that have proven incredibly resilient in the face of efforts to neutralize these threats. As for the case of mines, we are confronted with largely indiscriminate weapons that can do immense harm to surrounding communities. Both of these problems continue to claim innocent lives every single day, and need to be solved by individuals who can work together to think critically and act decisively.
HMUN is the best because… Veritas. ‘Nuff said.
