The Non-Governmental Organization Program (NGOs)

Please note: this is a special application committee. Applications will be due September 24.

The NGO program serves to provide committees a NGO presence and authority during debate, while at the same time serves to allow delegates in the program to get a wide exposure to different committees in HMUN. This year, there will be around 15-25 delegates, each representing a real NGO.

During the Conference, NGO delegates will visit committees with topics that are relevant to specific field of expertise (eg. human rights, environment). NGO delegates will be treated like committee delegates, except they do not have voting rights, and they will also have the ability to make short presentations to the committee.

The NGO delegates should be able to influence the course of events by putting their backing behind certain resolutions, as well as interacting with other delegates and helping to forge the creation of resolutions or amendments. I am thrilled to run this program and look forwards to working with all of you to make HMUN 2011 amazing.

Why will the NGOs be an amazing experience for delegates? Power, freedom and influence… what more could a delegate want?!
HMUN is the best because… nowhere else will you get to interact with thousands of students from all over the globe.
