Application Information (HMUN 2012)

Welcome to registration for HMUN 2012! Schools may apply for HMUN 2012 here.

Our priority deadline is May 18, 2011.  All applications received before that date will be guaranteed a delegation at HMUN 2012.  All other applications will be processed on a rolling basis.  The regular deadline for registering for the conference is October 7, 2011.

The following are the conference fees for HMUN 2012.  In addition to these fees, each school is responsible for its own food, hotel, and travel expenses.

LATE FEES
$35 for school fees paid past the deadline (October 11, 2011).
$50 (per school) for delegate fees paid past the deadline (November 11, 2011).
$50 for delegate names and liability waivers submitted past the deadline (November 11, 2011).

Country Assignment Policies

Due to the large number of schools interested in HMUN, we will assign no more than two GA delegations or one GA and one EcoSoc delegation to any single school.  Accordingly, schools that apply for two EcoSoc delegations will be assigned one GA delegation instead.  Please note that a delegation on the General Assembly also includes seats on the Regional Bodies and some of the Specialized Agencies.

The factors used to determine country assignments are the number of delegates requested and country preferences.  If you are not assigned one of the countries you requested, it is to ensure that you receive the number of spots requested.

In some cases, we are not able to assign exactly the number of spots requested.  Schools that receive fewer spots than requested but still wishing to bring more delegates are strongly encouraged to apply for our special application committees, which include most of the Specialized Agencies, the NGO program, and the Press Corps.  Applications for all of these will be available by the end of May, and will be due on October 3.

All eligible delegations are encouraged to apply for HMUN 2012 through our online application process to be considered for country assignments. Furthermore, HMUN has no prior arrangements and agreements with companies or organizations to be the sole provider of HMUN country assignments within a country or district.
