Application Information for Harvard Model United Nations 2013
Registration
Welcome to registration for HMUN 2013! Schools may apply for HMUN 2013 here.
We strongly encourage you to apply before our priority deadline, which is May 23, 2012. All applications received before that date will be given priority in country assignments. All other applications will be processed on a rolling basis. The regular deadline for registering for the conference is October 10, 2012.

HMUN 2013 will be Thursday, January 31, through Sunday, February 3, 2013.

Conference Schedule
As the conference approaches, this page will be updated with the schedule for HMUN 2013. For your reference, please click here for the conference schedule from HMUN 2012. Though there may be some modifications in this year’s schedule, last year’s itinerary should give you an idea of the committee sessions and events at conference.
Conference Fees
The following are the conference fees for HMUN 2013. In addition to these fees, each school is responsible for its own food, hotel, and travel expenses.

$35 for school fees paid past the deadline (October 17, 2012).
$50 (per school) for delegate fees paid past the deadline (November 14, 2012).
$50 for delegate names and liability waivers submitted past the deadline (November 26, 2012).

Online Registration Instructions 2013: Complete instructions for applying to Harvard Model United Nations 2013.Includes conference deadlines and fees. Liability Waiver: Required for all delegates and advisors. Please scan the signed forms and email them to info@harvardmun.org by Monday, November 26. Hotel Reservation Form: Required for reserving hotel rooms in the Sheraton Boston. This form is available through your MUNbase account if you have been confirmed for HMUN 2013. Due to the large number of schools interested in HMUN, we will assign no more than two GA delegations or one GA and one EcoSoc delegation to any single school. Schools that apply for two EcoSoc delegations may be assigned one GA delegation instead. Please note that a delegation on the General Assembly may also include seats on the Security Council and Historical Security Council, and a delegation in the Economic and Social Council may also include seats in the Regional Bodies.
Country assignments are determined by a variety of factors, including the number of delegates requested and country preferences. If you are not assigned one of the countries you requested, it may be to ensure that you receive the number of spots requested.
In some cases, we are not able to assign exactly the number of spots requested. Schools that receive fewer spots than requested but still wishing to bring more delegates are strongly encouraged to apply for our special application committees, which include most of the Specialized Agencies, the NGO program, and the Press Corps. Applications for the special committees will be available by Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Special Committee Applications will be due on October 3.

HMUN has no prior arrangements and agreements with companies or organizations to be the sole provider of HMUN country assignments within a country or district.
