AD HOC COMMITTEE OF THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL

Advanced Committee

Topic Summary

Due to the nature of the topic being unrevealed, position papers will not be necessary for delegates in either of our Ad Hoc Committees.

Welcome to the Ad Hoc Committee of the Director-General! As for the topic? It’s a mystery…

This committee is typically better suited for delegates with prior Model UN experience due to its fast-paced, unusual nature, but all are welcome. Delegates will need to be adaptable, creative, and knowledgeable to ensure their success in this committee. Keep in mind: anything can happen in the Ad Hoc! Good luck, delegates!

Dear Delegates,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the GADHOC of the 2026 session of Harvard Model United Nations! I am honored to serve as your Director and cannot wait to see how you all collaborate and resolve key issues during this committee.

My name is Jaden Lee, and I am a sophomore at Kirkland House, where I study Computer Science, Mathematics, and Statistics. Model UN has been a cornerstone of my Harvard experience thus far, and I look forward to sharing my passion for this activity with you all. MUN has given me a second family, both within the Harvard delegation and across the wider collegiate circuit. I also serve as Director of Logistics/Finance for Harvard’s Intercollegiate Model United Nations team. Beyond the collegiate circuit, I serve as the USG of Finance for HNMUN 2027 (HMUN’s sister conference), staffed the HMUN and HNMUN GA ADHOC, directed at HMUN India and HMUN Dubai, and am involved with the Harvard IRC’s recruitment board.

Outside of Model UN, I am involved in the Harvard Financial Analysts Club, Undergraduate Quant Traders, and Sports Analytics Collective. You'll often find me on the golf course, trading on sports prediction markets, or missing his border collie puppy from back home, Yuki.

Sincerely,

Jaden Lee

Director, Ad Hoc Committee of the Director-General
