Press Corps

Topic Summary

The Press Corps is a unique committee in which you will take on the role of international news organizations to cover the major events across all the substantive organs of HMUN. Through interviewing delegates within the committees, you will write news articles and editorials, conduct press conferences, and design content for social media. In other words, you will be responsible for reporting the conference's occurrences with clarity and objectivity, holding the delegates accountable for their inconsistencies and decisions.

Dear Delegates,

I am a sophomore at Harvard College studying government and economics. She grew up in between Madrid, Spain, and Lexington, MA. I’ve been doing MUN since middle school and am thrilled to direct the Press Corps this year!

On campus, I write for the Harvard Crimson and compete on Harvard’s Intercollegiate MUN team. I’m also involved in consulting and several other civic education programs. In my free time, I love to run by the Charles River, read, or try new DIY projects – currently she’s into watercoloring.

Sophia cannot wait to meet all of you and looks forward to a productive debate!
