Topic Summary

Delegates will participate in UNESCO’s efforts to advance global scientific development and strengthen international cooperation in education. As scientific progress becomes essential to tackling global challenges, the research capacity and technology access of different countries will become critical in shaping the future of scientific innovation. In the October session, delegates will examine strategies to promote scientific development by expanding research capacity, education, and technological innovation. In the December session, delegates will specifically address the immediate educational gaps and technology disparities created by COVID-19 and consider how governments can mitigate these challenges across countries.
